Reading your commentary re the night in Ban Nalan Tai, Laos and your battle w/ the ants, I immediately thought of our family Seder on Passover and Poppa reading the ten plagues.  However, ants never made the top 10 list ... although, I believe ants in the pants should be right up there w/ the slaying of the first born!

While making a comment, let me digress to an earlier commentary on your blog re the best sour dumplings in the world.  I must concur w/ your "unbiased" assessment that (Great) Aunt Rozzie's kreplach would put to shame anything you might find in China.  The only problem is convincing Aunt Rozzie to actually make the kreplach!!
