I’ve uploaded my first batch of photos to flickr. You can see them there, in the photoset called Laos, or here, on the Photos page, in the eponymous album.

Here are the photos that correspond to my first Laos post, The Laos-China Border.

Ali (aka cream cheese nose!):

Reading your commentary re the night in Ban Nalan Tai, Laos and your battle w/ the ants, I immediately thought of our family Seder on Passover and Poppa reading the ten plagues. However, ants never made the top 10 list … although, I believe ants in the pants should be right up there w/ the slaying of the first born!

While making a comment, let me digress to an earlier commentary on your blog re the best sour dumplings in the world. I must concur w/ your “unbiased” assessment that (Great) Aunt Rozzie’s kreplach would put to shame anything you might find in China. The only problem is convincing Aunt Rozzie to actually make the kreplach!!

Love,

UB

Haha–I have to concur about them being as bad as the slaying of the first born!

At least I’m not the only one who won’t be having kreplach this Thanksgiving, though I feel for your plight :).
